TROOP 250 SCOUT TRAILER SET ON FIRE TOTAL LOSS OF CAMPING GEAR FROM SUMMER CAMP JULY 3, 2010
Donna Gray-Williamson: The whole troop is sickened with what happened. It took the troop years to get the gear they needed to camp and now it's all gone. I don't know why someone felt the need to do this. We are hoping that everyone keeps thier ears open and they turn in who every set the fire. You wouldn't believe the years it took to raise the funds to get the equipment. Bob and I have been with the scouts for twenty years and He and I have seen how hard the boys worked raising funds for to purchase the equipment. Even the trailor itself I have pictures of the boys helping to build it. Beth Rohrig Lockhart: Very sad news for all the scouts in our Troop 250, someone set our scout trailer on fire last night, we lost everything. It was still packed from last week after summer camp. Thank goodness no one was injured, a big thank you to Perry Twp Fire Dept.	Gregory Stephens: Well tonight was a very sad night. We recieved a call that the fire dept. was at the church because the Scout trailer was on fire. It was a total loss. We had just got back from summer camp and the trailer was still loaded with most of the Troop's gear. It seems some one thought it more fun to set it on fire. The scouts were very sad that what they "bought" at klondike auctions was gone. Alot of the gear they earned at klondikes. That night a lot of the older guys in the troop that drive all showed up to support. It is a great thing, the sense of family, that Scouting brings to us. We are all there for each other.

It was a great time! Our Scouts are becoming great leaders. it is great to see and be a part of the growth of todays youth.
	Troop 250 Committee Meetings Committee meetings are held the last Sunday of every month. Time is generally an hour before the scout meetings which start at 6:00 pm Sunday evenings. Patrol Leader Council meetings are held the first Sunday of the month. Committee meetings, PLC meetings and Scout meetings are held at Eden Church of the Brethren on Richville Drive. Troop 250 General Campout Information For all weekend campouts, unless otherwise notified during a Scout Meeting, Scouts meet at Eden Church on Friday at 6:30 p.m. with their gear and ready to load any needed materials into the trailer. Unless otherwise notified during a Scout Meeting, Scouts are expected to bring all of their own gear including personal gear, sleeping bags, cots if needed, eating utensils including plate, bowl and cup. Camp chairs, flashlights, extra socks and shoes, and bug spray (warm weather) are also a good idea. Scouts leaders plan to return to Eden on Sunday morning shortly after 10:30 a.m. so that they do not interrupt church members coming for services. Please plan on picking up your Scout promptly. Adults are always needed for transportation to and from campouts. Leadership does not provide transportation. They can only accommodate so many Scouts in their vehicles. If there is not enough room, parents are expected to provide transportation for their Scout(s) to and from the campsite. If you wish to transport additional Scouts who are not in your family, you will need to fill out an official Adult Transportation Record form. See Bob for more information regarding this form. 	UNIFORMS All Scouts are expected to wear their uniforms every week to meetings. Also, please bring a pencil and paper. New Scouts need to bring their books also every week. Summer uniform wear is Scout related t-shirt unless otherwise announced.
